Delivering Results That Make an Impact

The last six months have been incredibly rewarding. I’ve made 10 placements, helped candidates secure game-changing roles (including one move that delivered a 25% salary increase, a bonus uplift, and hybrid working) and built some brilliant new client relationships. I’ve also personally invoiced six new clients into Fintelligent, and I’m proud of the long-term value that’s being created as a result.

A standout moment for me was placing an Account Executive with an insurance broker. The broker's biggest pain point was with their usual suppliers - there is great difficulty in the market for attracting the right talent. Within 48 hours, I'd headhunted a candidate who was perfectly matched, they were hired on the spot at the interview. This outcome has resulted in extending our partnership with the client further, and I have been rewarded with the trust of filling additional roles.

Another highlight was partnering with a HNW car finance provider who only planned to hire one person. After delivering two standout candidates, they decided to hire both and have since instructed me to recruit two more. It’s partnerships like these that show the value of doing things properly.

I was also lucky enough to be named Employee of the Month in March, which was a great recognition of the progress I’ve made!

In terms of market trends, I’ve seen a shift in the way businesses are approaching retention. More companies are offering pay rises and counter-offers to retain top talent; I’ve even seen clients create brand-new roles to avoid losing key people. It’s something all candidates should be aware of when considering their next move.
We invest heavily in our technological suite, adopting innovative platforms to streamline our workflow as principal consultants. The software I've adopted through joining Fintelligent has been instrumental to my success so far and has allowed me to elevate the recruitment process for both candidates and clients.

There’s a genuine belief in the strategy from every level of the business - from recruitment consultants and members of our operational team, all the way through to our Divisional Managers and Divisional Directors, and the trust-based approach makes it a brilliant environment to thrive in.
One of the things I’ve valued most since joining is the trust-based working environment. There’s a strong sense of community and collaboration, the team is always there to support, share knowledge and celebrate each other’s wins. At the same time, there’s a real emphasis on autonomy. You’re given the freedom to take ownership of your desk, shape your strategy, and drive your own success. That balance between support and independence has played a big part in helping me maximise my results and stay motivated.
Looking ahead, I’ve got some big goals - both personally, as I plan to move house, and professionally, as I aim to break my personal fee record again. I also want to continue offering even more value to clients, particularly by expanding the use of our tech toolkit (including psychometric testing and video interviewing).
I’m really looking forward to seeing how the business continues to grow and expand across our specialist sectors, as well as welcoming more brilliant individuals into the team.
