Underwriter

Are you a skilled Underwriter or Senior Underwriter within the specialist lending sector looking for a new and exciting opportunity as we head in to the New Year? Our client, a dynamic company in the bridging & specialist mortgage sector, is seeking a talented individual to join their team. This role will be responsible for managing loans, which are sometimes large & complex, from inception to completion.

The Underwriter will:

• Manage a pipeline of specialist bridging / mortgage cases, prioritising effectively.
• Underwrite loan applications within company criteria, making informed lending decisions.
• Speak consistently with brokers, applicants, and other stakeholders.
• Maintain oversight of loans post-completion and ensure conditions are met.
• Stay updated on best practices and regulatory requirements.

About You
The ideal Underwriter will have:

• Experience in underwriting bridging finance or similar specialist lending experience. You must have a background working at another lender to be considered for this opportunity.
• Strong comprehension of compliance and regulatory environments.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and prioritisation skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• A proactive and commercially aware mindset.
