About the Role

Fintelligent is partnering with a leading international law firm to recruit an Associate into its London Corporate Restructuring practice.

This is an excellent opportunity for a junior lawyer to join a highly regarded restructuring team advising companies, boards, sponsors, creditors, investors and other stakeholders on complex domestic and cross-border restructuring matters. The successful candidate will gain exposure to high-profile in-court and out-of-court restructurings, insolvency-related disputes and special situations transactions, working alongside market-leading practitioners within a collaborative international platform.


What You'll Do

  • Advise clients across a broad range of restructuring and insolvency matters, including:
    • Cross-border restructurings
    • Out-of-court workouts
    • Formal insolvency processes
    • Insolvency-related disputes
    • Distressed acquisitions
    • Special situations transactions
    • Structured private capital investments
  • Support companies, boards, sponsors, creditor groups and investors through complex distressed situations.
  • Assist in developing and implementing restructuring strategies for clients facing financial or operational challenges.
  • Draft, review and negotiate key transaction and restructuring documentation.
  • Work closely with stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions on complex international matters.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across restructuring, private equity, M&A, finance, disputes and capital markets teams.
  • Deliver commercially focused advice tailored to client objectives and circumstances.
  • Manage transaction workstreams and support the execution of sophisticated restructuring solutions.
  • Build strong client relationships and contribute to exceptional client service standards.

What We're Looking For

  • Approximately 1–2 years' PQE gained within a leading restructuring, insolvency or finance practice, although candidates with more or less experience will be considered on merit.
  • Experience advising on restructuring, insolvency, special situations or related transactional matters.
  • Strong drafting and written communication skills.
  • Excellent technical legal ability and commercial awareness.
  • Demonstrated initiative and a willingness to take ownership of significant responsibilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced and demanding environments.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills.
  • Collaborative approach with the ability to work across multiple practice groups and jurisdictions.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality work and outstanding client service.
  • Outstanding academic credentials.
