About the Role
Fintelligent is partnering with a leading international law firm to recruit a Real Estate Finance Associate into its London team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a junior real estate finance lawyer to join a highly regarded and growing practice acting on complex domestic and cross-border financing transactions. The team advises a broad range of lenders and borrowers across the full spectrum of real estate asset classes, offering exposure to high-value, structured and development-led financings.
The successful candidate will work closely with partners and senior lawyers on a varied and fast-moving workload, gaining significant responsibility and client exposure early in their career.
What You'll Do
- Work on a broad range of real estate finance transactions, including:
- Development finance
- Investment and acquisition finance
- Hotel and leisure finance
- PRS (Private Rented Sector) financing
- Student accommodation finance
- Logistics and office sector financings
- Islamic finance and mezzanine structures
- Act for both lenders (including banks, debt funds and insurers) and borrowers (including investors, developers and property companies).
- Draft, review and negotiate finance and security documentation.
- Support partners and senior associates on complex, structured real estate finance deals.
- Assist with cross-border and multi-jurisdictional financing transactions.
- Manage workstreams and support transaction execution across multiple deals.
- Contribute to client relationship management and business development activities.
- Work collaboratively within a high-performing and supportive team environment.
What We're Looking For
- 1+ year PQE gained in a real estate finance or broader banking/finance practice.
- Strong academic record.
- Solid understanding of general finance principles and transaction structures.
- Experience working on real estate finance transactions is essential.
- Strong drafting and document negotiation skills.
- Proactive, detail-oriented and commercially minded approach.
- Strong communication and client relationship skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to support colleagues.
- Ambition to develop within a high-performing transactional finance practice.
