If you're an experienced Underwriter with a background in bridging or short-term property finance, this is an opportunity to join a respected specialist lender where your lending decisions genuinely influence business growth. You'll manage  cases from application through to completion within a collaborative, high-performing underwriting team.

Working closely with brokers, intermediaries and internal stakeholders, you'll assess a broad range of specialist property lending cases while developing your expertise within an established and growing lending business.

About the Company

This specialist property finance lender has built a strong reputation for delivering tailored short-term lending solutions. The business combines commercial decision-making with a relationship-led approach, providing underwriters with genuine ownership of their cases.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and underwrite bridging loan applications in line with lending policy and risk appetite.
• Manage your own pipeline from application through to completion while maintaining excellent service levels.
• Review valuations, credit reports, KYC and supporting documentation to make robust lending decisions.
• Build strong relationships with brokers, intermediaries and internal stakeholders throughout the lending process.

About You

• At least two years' experience underwriting bridging finance or within the short-term property lending sector.
• Experience assessing complex lending applications and making credit decisions within an agreed lending policy.
• Strong understanding of bridging finance, property security and regulatory requirements, including AML and KYC processes.
