Customer Service Advisor – Pensions

£30,000 basic salary + monthly performance bonus

Supportive team culture | Career development | Excellent benefits | Specialist financial services training

Are you a confident communicator who enjoys speaking with customers and delivering excellent service?

We’re recruiting for a Customer Service Advisor to join an established and growing financial services business. In this phone-based role, you’ll be a first point of contact for customers making pension enquiries, guiding them through the initial steps and keeping them updated as their applications progress.

Rather than a predominantly administrative position, this role focuses on customer conversations, building relationships and proactively chasing outstanding agreements and information. You’ll receive specialist training to develop your pensions knowledge, with opportunities to build a long-term career.

Package & Benefits

  • £30,000 annual salary.
  • Monthly performance bonus of approximately £100–£150.
  • Private healthcare.
  • Profit share scheme.
  • 8% employer pension contribution.
  • Death in service cover.
  • Professional qualifications, structured training and ongoing career development.

The Role

As a Customer Service Advisor, you’ll:

  • Handle inbound calls and make outbound follow-up calls relating to pension enquiries and transfers.
  • Understand customers’ enquiries, explain the next steps clearly and direct technical or advice-related questions to the appropriate team.
  • Follow up with customers to obtain outstanding agreements, electronic signatures and supporting information.
  • Contact pension providers and internal teams to chase progress and resolve outstanding queries.
  • Keep customers informed throughout the process, providing a friendly and reassuring service.
  • Take ownership of customer follow-ups, ensuring enquiries and agreed actions are completed promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of conversations and case updates.

About You

  • Previous experience in customer service, contact centres, client services or another phone-based role.
  • A confident telephone manner and the ability to build rapport with customers.
  • A proactive approach to following up enquiries and chasing outstanding information.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • An interest in developing your knowledge of pensions and financial services.

About the Company

You’ll join a well-established financial services organisation that invests in its people, technology and training. With a collaborative team culture and a focus on internal progression, the business offers opportunities to develop into senior customer service, team leadership or wider operational roles over time.
