If you're an experienced Head of Insurance (Real Estate & Commercial) looking to build something with genuine long-term value, this is an opportunity to create and lead a new insurance division backed by an established financial services group. You'll have the autonomy to shape the proposition, influence strategy, and build a high-performing business with access to an existing client network.

This is a rare opportunity to combine entrepreneurial freedom with the support and infrastructure of an established organisation. You'll take ownership of the commercial and real estate insurance proposition from launch through to long-term growth, with a meaningful equity opportunity available for the right individual.

Package & Benefits

• Salary £70,000 to £75,000 per annum.
• Performance-related incentives.
• Meaningful equity/shareholding opportunity, structured according to experience and contribution.
• Immediate access to an established client network.
• Support, infrastructure and backing of an established financial services group.

About the Company

You'll be joining a growing financial services business with an established presence across the business and real estate sectors. The organisation is expanding its offering by launching a dedicated insurance division, creating an opportunity to build a market-leading proposition with strong leadership support and long-term investment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and launch the Head of Insurance (Real Estate & Commercial) proposition, creating a scalable commercial and real estate insurance business.
• Recruit, lead and develop a high-performing insurance team while establishing the operating model and culture.
• Build FCA-compliant governance, operational processes and strategic relationships with insurers, underwriters, brokers and professional introducers.
• Drive business development, lead major client relationships and report commercial performance and strategic progress to the Board.

About You

• Significant experience within commercial and/or real estate insurance, including building and scaling successful insurance propositions or businesses.
• Strong knowledge of FCA regulation, UK insurance compliance and established relationships across insurers, underwriters and brokers.
• Proven leadership experience with a strong commercial track record in business development and revenue growth.

If you're interested in building a business with long-term strategic influence and would like to explore the opportunity in confidence, we'd love to speak with you, even if your CV isn't completely up to date. Contact Fintelligent for more information or a confidential discussion.
