Are you working in loan processing, case management or underwriting support and looking to take the next step? This Junior Underwriter role in Coatbridge offers the chance to develop your credit assessment skills within a growing specialist property lender, with a salary of £30,000 - £35,000.
You'll work closely with experienced underwriters, gaining exposure to varied property-backed transactions, including residential, commercial and semi-commercial bridging finance. Rather than remaining in a purely administrative role, you'll develop the technical knowledge and confidence to progress towards independently underwriting lending applications.

About the Company
You'll be joining a growing specialist bridging finance lender with a relationship-led approach to property funding. The business offers a collaborative environment where you'll work directly with experienced lending professionals and develop your understanding of the full loan lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities

Support the assessment of bridging finance applications, reviewing borrower information, property security, LTV calculations and proposed exit strategies.

Review valuations, credit searches and supporting documentation, identifying potential lending risks and assisting with credit recommendations.

Manage allocated cases from initial assessment through to completion, liaising with brokers, solicitors, valuers and internal teams.

Develop your underwriting knowledge across first and second charge lending while maintaining accurate credit records and supporting efficient lending decisions.
About You

Previous experience in financial services, property finance, loan processing, case management or underwriting support.

Experience reviewing financial information, loan documentation or supporting lending applications.

Exposure to bridging finance, buy-to-let, commercial mortgages or other property-backed lending would be beneficial, although previous underwriting experience is not essential.
